Not only do the "normal" laws also apply to the Internet, but because of the special significance of the Internet today, there are even a whole host of regulations and rules that have been created specifically for it. For everyone who does business here, but also for every consumer, the rules and regulations that apply here are summarised under the term Internet law.
The regulations most frequently applied in this area today relate to e-commerce, i.e. sales and trade via the Internet. From here, numerous other areas of law arise, such as domain law, multimedia law and, of course, many areas of competition law. In the end, Internet law is as extensive as the information and services available on the Internet. This is one reason why more and more lawyers are working in this area.
