Unfortunately, it is not possible to determine the costs of a prenuptial agreement as a lump sum. The costs depend both on the financial situation of the parties concerned and on the matters to be regulated in the marriage contract. In principle, however, the costs for the marriage contract are divided into the costs for legal advice and drawing up the marriage contract as well as the notary fees.
Even if the exact calculation of the costs of a prenuptial agreement also requires precise statements of assets, I can provide you with very good information and clarification about the expected costs for your prenuptial agreement in an initial consultation. The costs for drawing up the marriage contract are based on the business fee, which includes the necessary work and communication with the contracting parties. If a dispute must first be settled with the help of a lawyer in order to reach an agreement, an additional settlement fee is also incurred.
The main costs of the marriage contract result from the lawyer's fees in accordance with the German Lawyers' Fees Act (Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz) and the fees to be regulated. The resulting object value is decisive for the lawyer's fees.
The notary fees for a marriage contract are set out in the Court and Notary Fees Act. The basis for calculating the fees is derived from the business value of the marriage contract. In addition to these notary fees, further costs such as telephone, postage and, of course, VAT must be taken into account.
